Silverlight - for all browsers
Silverlight is recommended for everyone, especially Mac users as it gives a better experience than the Flip4Mac version.
Click on the new Silverlight option on the camera menu and enjoy.
If you don't have Silverlight plugin installed on your machine yet, it will prompt you just follow the steps to download and install the plugin from Microsoft website.
WINDOWS and MAC users:
1. Check if you are running any firewall software on your computer, (Windows Firewall won't cause any problems). If you are running a different firewall, go on your setting and allow all traffic to
www.mountainwatch.com and www.mountainwatch.com.au
2. Check if you have the latest Windows Media Player installed on your computer. If you don't, you can download them for free by clicking on the logos on the cam menu.
3. Go on your Windows Media Player and click on TOOLS > OPTIONS > NETWORK and change the status of your UDP box, if its ON turn it OFF and if its OFF turn it ON. This setting change according to your internet configuration, so it could be different for each computer.
Windows users using Firefox
This solution only applies to Windows Firefox users.
In Firefox, click "Tools" "Addons" then click on the "Plugins" tab. In here disable the following Microsoft plugin:
"Windows Media Player Plug-in Dynamic Link Library"
If there are any other windows media related plugins installed, these should be disabled too. It may be a case of trial and error with disabling these, dependant upon the content you view with your web browser.
After disabling the prior mentioned plugin, install the Microsoft Windows Media Player Firefox Plugin.
The plugin is available for download here.
After downloading, close Firefox and double click to run the file you just downloaded. Follow any on screen instructions given.
A restart may be required after installation, do so if instructed.
Reopen Firefox and open the plugins section again - make sure the Microsoft Windows Media Player Firefox Plugin is installed.
Close the plugins dialogue box. And Happy Days!

As an alternative, Microsoft has teamed up with Telestream to make its popular Flip4Mac program available to Macintosh users. Flip4Mac provides Windows Media video and audio playback in the QuickTime Player for Mac OS X.
