Widespread snowfall began Friday morning in the Australian Alps and looks set to continue across the weekend and into next week, with the possibility of over 70cm of snow in some of the Victorian resorts before Wednesday.

Following the best start to the season in over a decade, the coming snowfalls will contribute to an all round good June in the Australian resorts.
