Rip Curl FreeRide Pro
Once again the under-lights Rip Curl Throwdown expression session offered up some spectacular tricks as Australia’s best brought their best to the Charles Beckinsale built mega-feature for the no-rules, rider-judged event.
Skiing Wunderkind Russ Henshaw was named top men’s skier and Australia’s freeski queen Anna Segal had her compatriots impressed; she was given the women’s title but was tragically stretchered off with a suspected broken leg just before the end of the night.
Kieran McLachlan was nominated by his fellow riders as the winner of the men’s snowboard, with Saph Farrell claiming the women’s snowboard.
