ON THE GROUND REPORT

Sep 03 2023 09:06 AM: RESORT REPORT: Low cloud with possible patchy drizzle to start, then fine spells developing in the morning. Southeasterlies developing in the morning. A perfect start to Fathers Day up here with clear, moonlit skies overhead, calm conditions in the base area and 15km/h westerlies at the summit. We are high above the low cloud and fog on the Plains this morning. Spring has sprung so the snowpack will start out firm and fast - particularly at lower elevations - and then soften as the day warms up. Higher up, the snow quality improves. All main trails have been groomed and will provide the best skiing and riding until the snow releases later on.
