Nonstop Ski & Snowboard are excited to announce a new collaboration with Fernie Alpine Resort Winter Sports School. From this winter, Nonstop will be running a "Ski / Snowboard Instructor Job" program, where participants will be trained and qualified under Nonstop's world-leading 3 week instructor course, before being enrolled straight into Fernie's snow school as a fully paid instructor.
Fernie - the perfect place to train and work
Fernie has gained a legendary status, with its massive ski area, insane snow record and fun and challenging terrain. Nonstop recognised the immense potential of the resort 10 years ago, and have run many instructor courses in the resort every year since then. The Fernie 11 and 3 week instructor courses are the most popular programs of their kind. Every year dozens of Nonstop's graduates are employed by Fernie's Winter Sports School and this new program provides a more direct route from training to employment than ever before.
Successful applicants for this program will not need any instructor qualifications before the program starts but they will need to be of a good enough standard to achieve CASI or CSIA Level 1 within 3 weeks of Nonstop training. The first three weeks will be a blast; Nonstop have an amazing group of high-level instructors who will show the trainees the best parts of Fernie's amazing ski area, while honing their technique to an instructor level.
Guaranteed ski or snowboard instructor job
Guaranteed instructor job offers will be made by Fernie before the season begins and employment will run immediately after passing exams until the end of the season.
Nonstop have organised some great accommodation in down town Fernie that will be available from mid December until mid April. In contrast to a lot of first-season instructor accommodation, which can be more hostel-style, these are spacious houses with all of the mod-cons and comfortable twin bedrooms.
