Snow Park NZ and Electric Eyewear are coming together to launch the annual Electric Quarterpipe Battle this Saturday, July 28.
The free-to-enter jam style competition is open to both freeskiers and snowboarders of all ages and skill levels. Snow Park NZ's grooming team have spent the last few weeks building and shaping the Quaterpipe for the first open event on the 2012 Snow Park NZ competition calendar.
Snow Park NZs Quaterpipe still remains the only permanent quarterpipe feature in a New Zealand resort. It is built and maintained using the 22ft Global Cutter halfpipe shaper. Competitors are judged on style and amplitude and will be fighting for a $2,000 cash prize pool along with spot prizes.
After the days events, the prize giving will be located at the Woolshed Restaurant before the event relocates to Lonestar in Queenstown for the after party.
Registration starts at 9am in the Snow Park retail shop. All ages and levels are welcome and encouraged to enter!
The Electric Quarterpipe battle is proudly sponsored by Snow Park, Electric Eyeware, Aerial 7, DC, Lonestar and Base Retail Wanaka NZ.
As well as the Electric Quarter Pipe Battle, Snow Park NZ looks forward to the return of the Billabong Bro Down scheduled for Friday 3 August.
