I-Pod Perfects Whites 1260

March 14th, 2010

Iouri Podladtchikov (I-Pod) from Switzerland just took out the European X-Games posting the highest score in X-Games halfpipe history.Yes that’s right, the highest halfpipe score at the Winter X-Games in history. Even more than Shaun White has ever scored in his stratospheric career. I-Pod scored a near perfect 98.0 out of 100 with a run that included a HUGE McTwist Double cork 1260. Not only did he drop the trick that Shaun made a household name at the 2010 Olympics, but he dropped it in the middle of his run, much more risky than at the bottom of his run like Shaun does. Ipod landed the trick with speed and boosted a huge frontside 1080 tail grab.

Shaun was a no show at the European X-Games while his fellow country men Loui Vito and Scotty Lago did attend.

The video below has the final runs of the top three riders.

Also today during the final day of the European X-Games, the Women’s Slopestyle won by none other than Jenny Jones of the UK, who has been a force in Slopestyle for many years now and comes of a win at this years Winter X-Games in Aspen in the same event.
