Take a look at the works of Matt Georges, currently acclaimed as one the of the leading creative snowboard photographers on the planet. In this photographer gallery Matt wanted to display a selection of his favourite images over the last few years, most of which are heavily weighted in film photography and shot on old mechanical cameras – you know before the invention of the pixel.
If you like what you see and want to see more of Mr George’s skills, check out his full-length feature that he created over 6-months for the Transfer 2010 Photo Book, it’s an inspiring body of work combining Polaroid photography and snowboarding. (The Photo Book is still on sale in Australia & NZ until Dec 2010.)

Words from Matt…
“After 2-years as Art Director at Snowsurf Magazine (France) I became Photo Editor for Method Magazine and I guess my photo career started at this moment. This 2009-10 winter was my fifth season as a snowboard photographer. I really like to shoot film in general and like to play with many formats and cameras. I own around 20 cameras, from the plastic toys to Polaroids to medium format cameras to digital weapons. I’ve become addicted to instant photography and I’m really stoked that Transfer ran my feature of my Polaroid work in their 2010 Photo Book – thanks a lot!”
