Spring Snowboard Camps at Mt Ruapehu, NZ

September 27th, 2010

With over 1.2 metres of snow falling on Mt Ruapehu in the last week and a half the spring camps over the school holidays are going to go off.

Our friends at FTB Snowboard camps have been doing these camps for years and this year its looking epic with loads of the countries pros coming along and a couple of fun comps thrown in – its should be a cracker.

Here’s the info from FTB:

Spring Break Ohakune – an FTB Classic
3rd – 8th October (school holidays)

This is a classic FTB Snowboard camp, staying at our fully kitted out lodge with Leroy Christensen and the FTB crew. Visits from the biggest names in snowboarding who are making the journey to Ruapehu from the South Island for the famous spring riding and competitions including “Volcom’s Peanut Butter & Rail Jam” and the Smith Sessions Slopestyle reschedule for 9th October

Special features for this camp include the under 18 premiere of Forum Snowboards new film F’IT

The camps primary focus will be on the Terrain Park; sunshine and soft spring landings are the order of the day. In addition we will take advantage of Mt Ruapehu’s vast free ride terrain, which is still on late in the season due to the large snow base. Ruapehu turns on spring year after year!!

We will be running the FTB shuttle from Auckland to Ohakune return.
