Jossi Wells and Adam Hall Athletes of the Year

July 1st, 2010

Press Release

Jossi Wells had already established himself as one of the best overall park and pipe skiers in the world before this year, but after his monstrous 2009-10 season he might simply be the best competition freeskier on the market right now. If Jossi Wells could be bought as a stock, you’d be a moron not to invest! What contest didn’t the Kiwi win this year?

in his way to winning the coveted AFP Overall World Championship, Jossi earned a X Games Silver Medal in Superpipe, the Dew Cup Ski Superpipe Championship, a gold at the Austrian Open and a European X Games Bronze Medal in Slopestyle. However, as great as it is to be recognized for your competition success, sometimes it’s even more rewarding when your peers recognize your hard work and achievements, particularly in your home country. Such is the case with Mr. Wells, as at the recent Snow Sports New Zealand Awards he was bestowed the highest honor by being co-named “Athlete of the Year.”

Wells shared the award with fellow countrymen and 2010 Paralympic Gold Medalist Adam Hall, who recently won gold in the stand-up slalom in Vancouver.

Congratulations boys, and enjoy the start of your winter season!

Jossi is a member of the NZ National Freeski and Freestyle Team. Read more about the team here
