Stayed here overnight on our way back from the Lake Country. The lodge is way up the hill and during winter is obviously used by skiers. The views from our room were fabulous. Room/suite was very well equipped and we had a comfortable stay. There are restaurants within walking distance but we went back into the town for dinner.
The room was very nice indeed. Clean, and surprising stocked with cutlery and plates/glasses (not plastic.. but glass!) for food and beverages. It had the typical fridge and microwave. I didn't need to use the microwave, but the fridge someone had turned the temp all the way up.. froze my beverages. No biggie, not something regular maintenance would notice. It was a shock to have cereal in the morning with iced milk. The bed was super comfy and clean. Bathroom had heated floors, a very nice feature. I would've rated the trip a 5 except for the restaurants there during my mid week were mostly closed (only one option) and the hot tub in the hotel was out of service. And past 7 pm on the hill, it was a ghost town. Thank goodness there were happenings in the town 18 km down the hill. A good stay if you want to go to the hill for skiing during the winter, and enjoy quiet evenings.
We needed an overnight stay on our way west and Palliser Lodge fit the bill to a tee! The place was quiet, the view spectacular and the people friendly. Check in was pretty normal, could have used a little more personality but it was check in, just give me a room. the restaurant was quaint , food was good and service was excellent.
Spent almost a week here in August and it was a nice tucked away little spot. Everything closes super early so make sure you get everything done before supper. The hot tub could have been hotter and cleaned more frequently and our room could have been left a little cleaner before we checked in but the views were great and the price was right!
Stayed here one night to do some mountain biking. The staff were great and the room was clean. They have microwaves, kettles, sinks, toasters, cutlery and glasses in the room which is great for bringing your own basic food needs.
Unfortunately our suite had some issues. The sink didn't drain properly, the toilet didn't flush half the time, the binds were broken, and the sliding glass door didn't lock.
For a $145 dollar stay, that kinda left a sour taste in my mouth.
