Blackcomb Springs Suites
This hotel is nice, the suite was spacious and well equipped. It is quite a walk from the lower villlage, but there is regular bus service from the front entrance. We visited in the summer, but I bet it would be an ideal place to stay when the ski hills are operating, as it backs right onto the lower runs of Blackcomb.
This place is great! The room was clean and comfortable, plus if you are traveling with a toddler, the furniture corners in our room was rounded off, so I didn't have to worry about my daughter running into the corners as little toddlers tend the do. The coffee in the lobby was wonderful by the way. We booked this place to stay for the Ironman. The bed was so comfortable. I slept very well after the race, even though I was sore. The balcony was also a great place for our daughter as she wasn't able to climb out or on the balcony rail.
Excellent family room with kitchenette. Good facilities and free shuttle bus into Whistler. No safe in room. Breakfast great as they encourage you to take food out in recyclable boxes.
Great location. Accommodating staff. Wonderful stroll down the hill under the gondolas into the Upper Village. Pool is lovely and just the right temperature.
Rooms are clean, comfortable, and we'll equipped to make your own meals (if that's what you want to do). We like the fridge and microwave to reheat leftovers from going out 😉. We went during the summer months, the pool was nice, and close to the village, just a 5 minute walk down the mountain. Taking the number 5 shuttle back to the lodge was a bit easier than walking back up the mountain after a night of beverages. There isn't air conditioning, however, opened the windows to get air moving through the suite. I'd definitely stay here again. The continental breakfast saves a bit of money, however, it's quite busy. There is always coffee in the lobby for those who want a little pickup.
