@keystone_resort in Colorado is set to be one of the first ski resorts in North America to open as they plan to start spinning their lifts today, Saturday, October 12. The early opening is thanks to the Autumn snowfall they’ve received as well as upgrades to their snowmaking system. This is their earliest opening in over 20 years! They were just beaten by @arapahoe_basin who opened for 2 hours on October 11.

There was no shortage of snow at @mammothmountain last season. We are so keen to get over there next year on our Ikon Tour. Come join us!

After a week of summer temps and melting snow forecast models this morning showing a return to winter this week. Lifts close in the Victorian resorts today and Thredbo and Charlottes tomorrow but Perisher is open until Oct 13 with 25cms in the forecast for next Friday. Could be a good closing weekend
