Get those Hooger Boogers, Crazy Bananas and Wild Ducks ready this weekend for the celebration of 30 something years of snowboarding at Thredbo Resort.
This winter marks the 30th Anniversary of Snowboarding at Thredbo Alpine Resort. To celebrate this coming of age hotdoggers of all decades will be descending on Thredbo come this Friday night for an exhibition on the sport and culture. Period correct decks and memorabilia will sit alongside images of both the still and moving kind while beers are drank and banter fills the Schuss Bar.
Come Saturday, the showdown of young and old will be taking place up at Antons Terrain Park with the Handdug halfpipe session. Thanks to the relentless work of Thredbo’s park crew, not only will the halfpipe walls be completely hand-shaped, the pipe will also sit alongside the pristine park set-up that’ll be sessioned throughout the day as the Rad Gloves Sausagefest takes place.
Now is the time to phone up that radical uncle of yours and either convince him to come or at the very least lend you his Sorels and Black Flys sunglasses because the best dressed will be rewarded along side the days best tweaks, tricks and bails. The winners of our Tight Lines competition will also be announced at the pool side party on Saturday afternoon.
The 30 Years exhibition and Halfpipe session is open to all ages and abilities and requires no reservation. Spirit and a well-rounded arsenal of grabs is all that’s needed. We will see you there.
