ON THE GROUND REPORT

Aug 23 2019 06:45 AM: Friday, August 23: A fine sunny day ahead with all lifts open on a very good cover of dry packed snow. It is a cold -8 in the village and -2 up the top where the wind is light out of the southwest, forecast to get up to 25-40km/hr later in the day. The groomed runs will be very good this morning with a layer of corduroy on a hard-packed base, so get out there early for a few turns. The snow off piste is variable, firm in exposed areas, but there are some softer wind-drifts worth hunting out. Another fine day tomorrow followed by some snow on Sunday morning and the Grasshopper has the details in todays forecast. It's going to be a good day on the hill, enjoy the sunshine and have fun day.
