ON THE GROUND REPORT
Aug 08 2022 06:39 AM: It is partly cloudy this morning with the chance of snow showers later, the temps currently -5.3 in the valley at Perisher and it is -3.7 at the top of Mount P with light winds, forecast to pick up out of the southeast at 15-20ks this afternoon. There was a dusting snow overnight and the snowmakers topped up the cover on the main runs and there is a good cover of packed snow across the resort. The groomed runs will be very good this morning with Towers, the Cleft, Blanchy's, Zali's and Bloody Mary the picks for some early turns on the corduroy. It is firm off piste but there may be some softer drifts up high, worth a look around the t-bars on Mount P. It looks like partly cloudy weather over the next two days ahead of another cold front and snow later the week - check out today's forecast from the Grasshopper for the latest details. Another fun day ahead, get out there for a few turns and have a good one. - Reggae
