ON THE GROUND REPORT

Sep 22 2021 06:55 AM: 6.40am: A perfect clear morning, the temps currently -01.6 at the base in Perisher and it is -1.7 up the top of Mount P where the wind is SSW at 26ks, forecast to swing WNW at 20-25ks during the day. Yesterday morning was one of the best powder mornings of the season and plenty of people were out enjoying it, the mountain getting tracked out pretty quickly. While it will be hard to find fresh tracks today, it's going to be another good day, the groomed runs in great shape with a top layer of dry corduroy and packed snow off piste that will soften on lower slopes and north-facing solar aspects as we head for a top of +7. The rest of the week is looking good with the chance if a little top-up on Friday/Saturday and the Grasshopper has the details in today's forecast. Check it out and have a great day. - Reggae
