ON THE GROUND REPORT

Sep 22 2021 07:37 AM: 7.30am: Overcast with light drizzle this morning but that should clear by this afternoon and the good news is Hut Run and the Summit are opening today thanks to the good cover of snow left by this week's snowfalls. There was another 5cms overnight and it is currently +1 degree with southwest wind at 24ks taking the wind-chill down to -5.4. There is a good cover of soft, fresh snow and once the drizzle stops it will be a good day. The cross country trails and the toboggan park are also open and it looks more snow on the weekend, a good chance for visitors from regional Victoria to come up for some school holiday fun in the snow. Check out today's forecast from the Grasshopper for what's in store over the next few days and have a great day.
