ON THE GROUND REPORT

Sep 16 2019 07:18 AM: Monday, Sept 16: Overnight rain turned to snow when the temps dropped to zero around 4am and with 4cms so far and snow showers are expected through the day. It is currently -0.7 with a cold southwest wind at 30ks taking the wind-chill down to -6.6. The skiing will be fun today with a soft layer of fresh snow on a smooth rain-packed base and hopefully we'll get another 10cms by the time the system moves off. Take care on the road as there is snow and slush and chains may be required. Have a great day.
