ON THE GROUND REPORT

Aug 17 2022 07:17 AM: Oh how nice it is to be able to see the mountain! A beautiful start to the day with just a little high cloud. At 6.30am the temp is +2.3, a westerly breeze 19-20kmh and we are heading for a top temp of +4. Rain showers are forecast for later in the day. The groomers and off piste are going to be super fun but will get a little goopy and slow as we move on through the day. Best make sure your boards are waxed. I’d say the skiing over the whole mountain will be great. Today marks the best day of the next couple, with rain showers again coming in to play from tonight and fingers crossed some snow on Friday into Saturday but once again the temps are going to be marginal for anything of decent quality powder. There's only 6 weeks left of the season though, so those who ski today are going to have one-up over those who don’t and it’s a long hot summer ahead, so make a plan to visit! - Harro
