Crossroads – An Australian Snowboard Film Featuring Gus Bald

Crossroads is a new Australian film featuring snowboarder Gus Bald and was filmed this past season in the Perisher backcountry. The action is as recent as it gets, the final sequences shot in mid-October and it ‘s showcase of core snowboarding and our unique backcountry.

Gus is from Torquay but has spent the past five winters living in Jindabyne, riding Perisher and competing in slopestyle and big air events and is renowned for his energy, both on and off the mountain. This year Gus directed that energy to the backcountry and into making this film, hiking, riding pow and spending hours building and re-building kickers after each storm.

Beautifully filmed and edited, the film captures Gus’ creative riding as he move from comps to the backcountry, a snowboarder at the crossroads.

The crew set out on exploring the Australian backcountry for their first project on the backs of mother nature providing the goods during the Australian 2025 winter. Crossroads showcases the versatility of Australian snowboarders with right conditions provided, with Gus Bald creating spots yet to be hit and filmed in the Snowy Mountain Region.
