Free ride World Tour Finale In Verbier and All 2020 Qualifier and Junior Events Cancelled – Press Release

The Verbier, Extreme, final event of the Freerdie World Tour has been cancelled. This 2020 World Champions will be decided on current rankings.

Following the current situation concerning COVID-19, the Grand Finale of the Freeride World Tour 2020 and all Qualifier and Junior events have been cancelled.

Verbier, Switzerland — Friday March 13th 2020:  Due to COVID-19 and the new measures put in place by the Swiss government today, we are sorry to announce the cancellation of the 2020 Verbier Xtreme, as well as all Junior and Qualifier events for this winter season.

The situation surrounding COVID-19 is evolving rapidly, and the priority of the Freeride World Tour before everything else is to insure the health and safety of its fans, athletes, team and their peers.

The World Champions will be discerned from the current 2020 season rankings which will remain as they currently stand.

Based on the current rankings the 2020 World Champions are: Men’s Ski  – Isaac Freeland (USA);  Women’s Ski = Arianna Tricomi (Italy); Men’s Snowboard – Nils Mindnich (USA); Women;’s Snowboard – Marion Haerty. Australia’s Michaela Davis-Meehan is runner up in the women’s snowboard, a great result in her rookie season. Check out the final 2020 rankings here.
