The Travelplan Ski Northern NSW Championships Interschools begin tomorro (Wednesday) in Thredbo.

Thousands of school aged children from the North of the state, including northern Sydney suburbs will be competing for the glory of their school in snowboard alpine, snowboard cross, skier cross, moguls and ski alpine events.

With a light dusting of snow this morning, the weather for the four day event is looking promising – a great relief for all the parents who will be on the sidelines – with fine to partly cloudy days until Saturday, when some further snow flurries may make an appearance.

 

Event Schedule:

  • Wednesday 7 July: snowboard GS and snowboarder cross – all divisions. Thredbo
  • Thursday 8 July: moguls – all divisions and skier cross – divisions 5 & 4. Thredbo
  • Friday 9 July: skier cross – divisions 3, 2 & 1 and alpine – divisions 5 & 4. Thredbo
  • Saturday 10 July: alpine – divisions 3, 2 & 1. Thredbo

Division 2: school years 9 & 10

The next NSW Interschools event is the Westpac NSW & ACT Cross Country Championships on July 11 at Perisher, then the Travelplan Ski Sydney Championships, which begins July 14 at Perisher.
