Nick was strapping in about to drop into a jump when this little whirlwind whipped up and went straight over the top of him, it almost looks like he is exploding.
Transfer Snowboarding Magazines head to Silverton | Photography and story By Vaughan Brookfield
In February Transfer spent some time in Silverton, Colorado. Dragon Optics helped out by putting us up in their solar power hut that’s about a 20-minute sled ride into the backcountry. There is nothing better than being able to wake up and hope straight on your sled. These no mucking around, you’re already out there so all you have to think about is finding the best pow. Below is a selection of images from the journey that haven’t been released until now. Enjoy
Nick brown fist hit and getting some gangsta pop on this hip.
We had been on the road for 2 days from Tahoe and very relieved to be finally getting close to the range that Silverton was nestled in.
Nick Brown found this sick gully on our ride home at the end of our trip. He couldn’t say no to smacking a few turns.
Jye Kearney had just taken one of the heaviest slams on the trip. He rag-dolled like crazy then didn’t move for a bit, Nick Brown rushed over on his sled to make sure he was ok.
Jye spinning, with the rock star friss out as well.
Nick B giving Jye a ride back to the top, after stomping.
The solar doesn’t have the power to heat the whole hut so we lit up the burner and melted some snow so we could have drinking water in the morning.
