Parties galore and more artists added to the bill
Queenstown’s ultimate slope soiree Snow Machine is going bigger than ever. Between the epic runs and après parties on The Remarkables and Cornet Peak and the main festival arena, 9 – 14 September, you can get amongst an epic week of curated side events, designed to take your Queenstown adventure to the next level. If that’s not enough, even more artists from across the globe and down the road have been added to the bill.
Joining the stellar lineup including Claptone, Amyl and the Sniffers, Netsky, Mallrat, Luude and Hot Dub Time Machine is viral sensation Cyril. Hailing from rural Australia, the DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist will be swapping the countryside for the slopes. Known for tracks “Stumblin’ In” and his remix of Disturbed’s “Sound of Silence”, Cyril has surpassed 1 billion streams and collaborated with renowned artists like Teddy Swims and Dean Lewis. Showcasing the best of the best from around the globe, Toronto DJ and producer HNTR will be joining the party along with DJ PIERO, Saskia and a bunch more to keep the vibes coming all weekend long.
With an abundance of thrill-seeking offerings to experience in between live music, DJ sets and the ski fields, get amongst the all-in-one festival and holiday adventure that is Snow Machine. You may even find yourself skiing alongside one of your favourite acts from the line up or bumping into a DJ at brunch. Anything is possible!
Here’s a sneak peak at what your week at Snow Machine could look like…
On Tuesday, wander down to the birthplace of bungy at the breathtaking setting at AJ Hackett Bungy Kawarau Bridge for the Official Bungy Welcome Party from 4PM – 10PM. Raise a glass to the festival before dancing into the night with DJ sets happening across an indoor and outdoor stage or channel your inner thrill-seeker by taking a plunge!
If thrill meets chill is more your style, mosey on down to the Canyon Kick Off Party at Canyon Brewing happening from 4PM – 8PM. Kickstart your Snow Machine adventure with an exhilarating Shotover Jet ride through the spectacular Shotover River canyons before winding down with a brew and some special Snow Machine artist sets at Canyon Brewing.
On the Wednesday for the first time ever, there will be a massive Snow Machine Street Party from 6PM till 10PM, unlike anything the region has ever seen. In the heart of town from sundown, this Winter street party is one for the history books with an all star line up coming soon.
Back by popular demand, our 4th annual Polar Bare is returning to the Remarkables on Thursday! Don your best board shorts, bikinis or speedos and get ready to crush last year’s record setting result as we slip and slide buns down the mighty Remarks.
The party carries on in town, with Revolver bringing their iconic cage to World Bar and Yonder on Wednesday night. Electric Rush returns with another legendary afterparty, and Poof Doof rounds it out with their Drag Brunch on Saturday morning. A vibrant finish to your festival week, dress up in your most fabulous ‘fit and close out Snow Machine in style with guest drag artists, DJ sets and plenty of great food.
