The Replica Rail Qualification Event – Cattleman’s 2015
Transfer x Burton | Cattleman’s 2015
One of the great evolutions of the Cattleman’s contest has been the all-inclusive qualification event that takes place on an exact replica of the Cattleman’s stair set in the Mt Buller Park. In 2011, The Burton Cattleman’s Replica Rail was officially opened, on which the day-time qualifying event has taken place for the past four years.
Progressing from what was previously an invite-only event, Cattleman’s now offers a chance for up-and-coming snowboarders to prove themselves against Australia’s best rail riders by offering 15 spots in the night-time final, where qualifiers will compete against past Cattleman’s champions.
The 2015 qualification event is open to all ages (minors must have a parent or guardian present), and participants must register at 9am outside Freeride Boardstore, Mt Buller Village Square. Qualifiers will kick off at 11am in the Mt Buller Skyline Park and helmets are compulsory.
The qualification event also has a cash prize element with 1st place scoring $500, 2nd: $300 and 3rd place $200.
