Thredbo Announces 2025 Winter Products and Value Season Pass

Here we go, fours weeks into autumn, 9 weeks until the start of winter, the Grasshopper’s first season outlook is just a couple of weeks away and Thredbo announced its much-anticipated 2025 winter products today.  The countdown to winter is on.

Thredbo has a host of value products on offer for the upcoming winter, including the 2025 Winter Season Pass which can be locked in now at the lowest price of $1599.

That offer is available from today, March 27th until April 10th, giving you two weeks to secure a saving of $250 and which can do with a deposit of just $50. The pass can also be paid for over two instalments and pays for itself in seven days.

As well as unlimited access to the mountain, winter pass holders get a huge range of benefits, including food and retail discounts, bring-a-friend vouchers, access to the 50-metre pool and gym as the Leisure Centre, an Alpine Coaster Ride and more.

Another big plus for Season Pass holders is you can access a big number of international destinations in the 2025/26 Northern hemisphere season by purchasing the Ikon Base Pass add on for $450, providing unlimited access to 14 destinations and up to five days at a further 39 destinations.

And we are talking some of the world’s best resorts including Mammoth Mountain, Palisades Tahoe, Snowbird and Revelstoke in North America, Chamonix and St Moritz in Europe and Niseko and Lotte Arai in Japan. The 2025/2026 Ikon Base pass is currently on sale for $US909 ($1427AUD at today’s exchange rate) so Thredbo’s Ikon Pass option is a big saving.

Here’s the rundown on the Season Pass deal which you can lock in now with a deposit of just $50:

– On sale: March 27-April 10 (until 11:59pm)

– Adult sale price: $1599 (full price $1850)

-Child sale Price: $930 (full price $1150)

-Unbeatable value: Pays for itself in just seven days on the slopes.

-Payment plan option: Secure your Season Pass with a $50 deposit, then pay 50% on April 23 and the rest on May 23. Available for eligible purchases made before April 14.

Online Value savings

Thredbo is also offering savings across a number of other products this winter including discounts of up to 50% on lift passes, lessons and rentals when booking early and purchasing online.  There are a number of  on how to secure the best prices, including:

  • Early Bird Savings – book in advance for exclusive early bird discounts. Adults can save up to 30% and children up to 50% when buying early.
  • – Mid-Week Savings – guests can enjoy discounted rates of up to 50% when choosing to ski mid-week.
  • -Buy Online Savings – enjoy big savings when you buy online, with guests able to save up to 10% on same day online lift passes when compared to the window price.

Learn to Ski packages

Thredbo has learn-to-ski packages starting from $99 for adults and $129 for kids, perfect to introduce your non-skiing mates, partner or family to the fun of skiing or snowboarding.

The package includes a two-hour Group Lesson for adults and three-hour Group Lesson for kids and access to Thredbo’s dedicated beginner’s area at Friday Flat. The gentle slope at Friday Flat is the perfect area for first time skiers and snowboarders to learn, creating an experience that will have them coming back for more.

To ensure Friday Flat has a good snow cover for beginners throughout the season, the resort has also made significant investment in its snowmaking system. This includes the purchase of a new ‘All-Weather Snowmaking Unit’, the first of its kind in New South Wales. The Demac Lenko SnowPRO 260 is designed to produce up to 260m³ of snow per day in temperatures up to 20°C.

Winter Adventure Pass – Buy Early & Save 20%

Designed for non-skiers this pass offers a variety of winter experiences. It includes scenic Merritts Gondola access, 1 x Alpine Coaster Ride and access to the Thredbo Leisure Centre.
