There is almost no doubt by now that this week is the best week of the season so far. We’ve finally been blessed with that mix of consistent precipitation and cold temperatures that we’ve been waiting so long for.

For those of us forced to be sitting in an office somewhere, this news comes as part pleasure, part pain. It’s the thrill of knowing that this weekend will be epic, mixed with the real sense of loss that you are not enjoying it right now. Its weeks like these that you wish you never signed up to Instagram.

Tim Myers doesn’t have this problem, and in fact its mainly his Instagrams that we have had thrust upon us this week (but can’t look away from). Here he takes us for a quick blast down Stanley’s Couloir in Thredbo, shot yesterday. Note that to ski it like this the conditions really do need to be perfect – I guess we’re finally there.
