In his first film release of the 2026/27 winter, Norwegian big-mountain skier Nikolai Schirmer takes on what he describes as the gnarliest line of his career.

Joining him on the adventure is Swedish freeskier Jacob Wester, Schirmer’s childhood skiing hero. Together, they set their sights on Midnight Lightning, a formidable line on Anderstinden in Norway’s Lyngen Alps.

Combining spectacular mountain scenery, steep and exposed terrain and Schirmer’s trademark aggressive style, the film captures a dream skiing adventure and a memorable meeting of generations. The POV angles are intense,  capturing just how rad Midnight Lightning is and why Wester describes it as the rowdiest couloir of his career.

Another film from Schirmer you don’t want to miss.
