The Burton Cattleman’s Rail Jam event is one of the highlights of the Australian winter season. The atmosphere in Mt Buller’s village square on a cold Saturday night each July is electric. The top snowboarders in the country hurl themselves at a series of critical and difficult down bars. In order to help them improve their spectacle, and to support the progression of freestyle snowboarding, Burton has built a replica rail feature for the Mt Buller Park.

The Cattleman’s replica rail has been installed at Mt Buller since Tuesday night, although the official opening was after lunch on Friday 15 July. As a result of its presence in the park for most of the week, local riders were full of excitement and anticipation. After Paul Colby, Burton’s Brand Manager, had cut the ribbon an all out session begun.

The challenging feature is an excellent addition to Mt Buller Park’s features, and will contribute to the progression of skiers and snowboarders in Victoria.
