Chumpy Pullin Foundation Announces Its Closure

Mountainwatch |News
The Chumpy Pullin Foundation announced today that it is “closing its doors” this month. The foundation was initiated by Chumpy’s wife Ellidy in 2022 to honour Chumpy’s legacy with the overall aim to provide financial assistance and development opportunities for emerging snowboard athletes in Australia.
Through its fundraising efforts over the past two years the foundation has undertaken a number of projects during the past three Australian winters including Chumpy Scholarships, Indigenous riding camps, snowboard cross junior series and more. The foundations remaining funds will be directed to mental health initiatives, “continuing Chumpy’s commitment to making a meaningful impact for years to come.”

Our closing statement with heartfelt thanks
The Chumpy Pullin Foundation was born from a deep desire to honour the life and legacy of Alex “Chumpy” Pullin. What began as a heartfelt response to loss has grown into a vibrant, loving community that celebrates Chumpy’s remarkable spirit, and has inspired countless individuals along the way.
From the start, our mission was clear: we wanted to bring communities together to honour and celebrate Chumpy while making a positive impact on the people and world around us, just as he did. We set out to travel through the three states where Chumpy lived to achieve exactly that. We connected, we inspired, and we made a real difference.
As we reflect on the journey, we can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of pride and gratitude. The passion, dedication, and collaboration of our team and supporters created a foundation that we are deeply proud of. Therefore, it is with mixed emotions, full hearts — but above all, a sense of accomplishment — that we announce the Chumpy Pullin Foundation will be closing its doors in December 2024.
Over the past three years, we have achieved so much in Chumpy’s name, and we couldn’t have done it without you — our incredible community! We would like to take a moment to thank you for your unwavering love and support. Your contributions, whether through donations, event attendance, sharing stories, or amplifying our message through your networks, have all played a vital role in keeping Chumpy’s legacy alive and thriving, and for that, we are truly grateful.
Thanks to the funds raised and the awareness generated, we were able to connect with and support so many individuals through initiatives such as the Chumpy Scholarships, Shred for Chumpy Day, Indigenous Camps, Making Never Possible Podcast, ALL IN Challenges, SBX Junior Series, Project Shred, Boarding House Camps, and SWELLBEING Workshops and Camps.
As the Foundation closes, we are proud to announce that the residual funds will be directed toward mental health initiatives, continuing Chumpy’s commitment to making a meaningful impact for years to come.
Chumpy will always be in our hearts, and we will carry his legacy with us as we move forward. We will continue to live by his mantra to go ALL IN — and we hope his legacy continues to uplift and inspire you as it does us.
Thank you again for being part of this extraordinary chapter of Chumpy’s legacy.
