Thredbo Announces Project Shred 2025 – Inspiring the Next Generation of Ski and Snowboard talent

Thredbo, May 29th: Thredbo is excited to announce the return of Project Shred, a fun and progressive day in the park, designed to develop and inspire the next generation of young skiers and snowboarders aged 13 years and under.

Taking place on July 12 in a custom-built, kid-friendly terrain park, this action-packed event will give young shredders the chance to learn new tricks and sharpen their skills under the guidance of some of Australia’s top riders including:

  • Tess Coady – Olympic Medallist
  • Ben Tudhope – Paralympic Medallist
  • Jarryd Hughes – Olympic Medallist
  • Josie Baff – Olympian
  • Abi Harrigan – Olympian
  • Maddi Hoffman, Jye Kearney, and Joey Elliss –Thredbo Ambassadors

With a focus on progression, safety, and fun, Project Shred is the perfect environment for young riders to learn, grow, and enjoy the mountains in a supportive setting.

Sam Noller, Thredbo Event Manager, says that Project Shred is all about creating a fun, safe and inspiring environment for young skiers and snowboarders to build their skills and confidence.

“We’re proud to support the next generation and can’t wait to see these young riders progress and enjoy an unforgettable day on the mountain,” said Mr Noller.

In addition to on-snow coaching, the day will include a BBQ lunch, exciting giveaways, and a range of prizes. Turn & Burn, the home of world-class performance camps, will also be on hand to discuss their programs. Each registration includes an exclusive Project Shred T-shirt and poster, just begging to be signed by the coaches!
