In 2010, at the ripe young age of 15, Scotty James got the call. He was going to the Olympics. Scotty represented Australia in the Mens Halfpipe competition four years ago in Vancouver. This made him the youngest ever Olympian to represent Australia, and the youngest to compete at the games in 50 years.

Now, four years on, Scotty is getting ready to head to his second Olympics in only 6 months time. Sochi 2014 will see Australia field our strongest ever Winter Olympic team, and this 18 year old snowboarder from Victoria will be one of our best medal hopefuls.

Mountainwatch’s Reggae Elliss caught up with Scotty back home training in Perisher for the launch of Red Bull Zero. You would think most 18 year olds would have the usual things on their mind – girls, parties, what’s for lunch? for Scotty however, it seems all he has in his sights are Triple Corks and Winter Olympic Gold…

Here is exclusive footage of Scotty James first Triple Cork 1440 landed during The Mile High event in Perisher this week
