Considering the limited snowfall so far this season in Victoria, Mt Buller is actually skiing quite well. A natural fall of snow a week ago coupled together with some good nights of snowmaking has seen some fun early season skiing for hordes of people as the school holidays kicked off this past weekend.

2800 skiers and boarders daily embraced the man made snowmaking runs on Mt Buller over the weekend. The lack of natural snow didn’t deter everyone from having plenty of fun as perfect weather beamed springlike sunshine across the resort this weekend. Over 500 kids started in snow programs including Team Buller Riders, Transition Snowboard Camps and the Ski & Snowboard School. Blue Bullet Express, Holden Express, Shakey Knees and Wombat chairs provided ample enough terrain to fuel everyone’s early season enthusiasm.

Fresh snow is in the foreacast for later in the week so all keen Victorian skiers will be crossing their fingers and toes that the next snowfall delivers enough snow to get more terrain open as soon as possible!
