Home, is a new series from Arbor Snowboards, which delves “deeper into the lives and homes of the individuals that have come together to build the Arbor brand.”

This is the first of three episodes that features Brian Iguchi and Mark Carter, both of whom call Jackson, Wyoming and the surrounding Teton Mountains home.

Iguchi, one of snowboarding’s legends, grew up in Southern California and made his name as one of the more progressive park and pipe riders during snowboarding’s boom in the 1990s. He moved to Jackson in 1995 and his snowboarding evolved from parks and competition to big mountain and the backcountry.

So, how did an urban park rider from LA who grew up snowboarding Snow Summit and Bear Mountain end up living and raising a family in a cowboy town like Jackson, Wyoming?

“I wanted to learn more about the mountains. I had this realisation that I was a professional snowboarder and I didn’t really know much about the mountains, or snow … and I felt Jackson Hole was a great place to learn.”
