Billy Halloran is a Kiwi snowboarder living in Myoko, Japan where he spends his winter days, exploring the backcountry and riding “the best powder in the world”.

This film does a good job backing up that claim, but anyone who has ridden Myoko knows how special it is and this film nicely captures the essence of Myoko.

Film maker Gordon Duff explores Billy’s life and the connection he has with the Myoko’s mountains, snow and local community, something Billy loves to share with his friends when they visit from overseas.

From Gordon Duff:

“As Above, So Below” means that there is a connection between what happens in the universe and what happens on Earth and that everything is interconnected. It suggests that the patterns and processes found in the larger universe are reflected in smaller systems, including the human body and mind.”
