On The Cover

Jono Brauer, Chugach, Alaska.
When we organised the trip to Points North Heli Adventures in Cordova in late March there were only a handful of skiers we considered taking and Jono Brauer and Craig “Bud” Branch were at the top of the list. For the trip to be successful we needed skiers who would throw themselves over the edge and hook into the steeps and deeps of AK and with their natural ability and racing-honed technical skills Jono and Bud didn’t disappoint. Jono may have charged a little too hard at first, his sluff taking him out on his second run, he cartwheeled for 150m before falling backwards off a 70-foot cliff. This shot was taken a few runs later..
