The most anticipated event of the year will make it’s ninth return to Mt Buller’s infamous Cattleman’s stair set on Saturday, July 12. After last year’s impressive showing, we expect that the biggest names in Aussie snowboarding will once again push the limits of progression in front of a huge Victorian crowd.

The comp format will follow the same qualification process that was introduced in 2012, meaning that anyone can register and attempt to qualify for the ten-man final.

Cattleman’s has become the most iconic competition on the Aussie calendar, and one that every rider should experience… Don’t miss it.

 OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE

Burton Snowboards is pleased to announce the return of Australia’s premier rail event, the Burton Cattleman’s Rail Jam, Saturday July 12th.

In it’s 9th year, Australia’s best snowboarders will descend on Mt Buller to compete under lights for a share of  $7000 worth of cash and prizes.

The competition’s format will once again offer the chance for Australia’s best up-and-coming snowboard talent to be a part of the night-time final, with qualifiers taking place throughout the day on the Cattleman’s Replica Stair Set located in the Frank Mt Buller Terrain Park.

Historically, Cattleman’s has unfolded as an ‘invite only’ event, but once again in 2014 the only way a rider can guarantee automatic qualification is if they have previously won the event. Riders can register on the Saturday July 12th out the front of Freeride Boardstore at 9am, however spots are limited.

The top 10 qualifiers from the day’s heats will then compete against previous competition winners on Mt Buller’s famed Cattleman’s Stair Set in the Village Square for a share of the $7K prize pool, plus product from Mophie for best trick.

Burton Cattleman’s Rail Jam partners include the Frank Mt Buller Terrain Park, Skullcandy, Mini, Transfer Snowboard Magazine, Corona and Mophie.
