A cracker of a weekend timed in nicely with the massive hip jump left over from the Cattleman’s Cup snowboard event last week, which provided an opportunity for Buller’s elite park skiers to take flight on the Summit.

Buller has always been a hotbed for homegrown talent and the current crew of local rippers to hit the jump included Mitch Reeves, the Eisner Brothers – Tom, Henry and Alex – and TBR coaches Matt Szepe, Max Hall and Max Bardass with prodigy grom Leo Grollo.

The 50-foot hip was built by the Buller park crew built as a temporary feature for the Cattleman’s Comp and was mown down yesterday. It may soon just be a distant memory, but shots like this will last a lifetime and will no doubt make a great feature in the 2024 edition of Chillfactor, Australia’s only ski magazine.
