This is an awesome edit from 2019 FWT world champ Markus Eder and shows why he is regarded as one of the leading all-round skiers on the planet. To put it simply, this guy can ski.

From technical rail tricks in the park to aggressive big mountain skiing, Eder’s versatility as a skier enabled the 29-year-old Italian to make a seamless transition from park skier, representing Italy at the 2014 Olympic games in Sochi, to professional all-mountain freeskier.

Segments in a number of Matchstick Production’s films since 2014 introduced Eder to a wider, international audience while his performance on the Freeride World tour cemented his position as one of the leading skiers of the past decade.

After winning the World Title last year, Markus took this season off from full-time competition to focus on a return to travelling and filming. This video is his season edit from last winter, Markus saying on its release that it is, “a compilation of all my best shots from the season 18-19. Difficult times these days. Some are confronted with tragic, others are just locked in their homes and even others don’t feel much of the current pandemic… Hope this keeps your mind occupied at least for a little while.”
