Mori is a film by Dylan Robinson featuring Hotham skier Drew Jolowicz that was filmed during a consistent storm cycle in Japan this past winter.

Drew has been visiting Japan for 20 years and it is the deep powder skiing in the forest (Mori) that drew him back when Japan reopened this year.

“There is nothing better than setting a skin track amongst the beautiful forest, really slowing down and letting the terrain set the pace,” says Drew. “Connecting with nature and giving me a whole new appreciation of your surroundings.”

Mori captures that connection beautifully and shows why Japan’s backcountry tree skiing is something special.
