The 2019 season will go down as one to remember in Mt Buller, 128 fun-filled days that kicked off with the early opening on June 1, which was also the first day of operation for the new Bourke Street Express Chairlift.

A combination of good snowmaking conditions and solid mid-winter snowfalls resulted in a good snow base which saw the season extended by a week, lifts finally closing last week on Sunday October 6.

Over those 17 weeks there was plenty of action on and off the snow, enhanced by big events like the Cattleman’s’ Rail Jam, The Chillfactor FreeBom, the iconic Abomb moguls comp and the national Interschools competition.

It was a winter that had it all, from early season groomers on man-made snow, to mid-season powder runs in the bowls, chutes and among the unique Woolly Butts, spring bumps and sessions in the park.  Winter 2020 cannot come soon enough!
