Russ testing the One Hit Wonder Down Under Jump at Thredbo

Snow Journal 10 – 12 September | Ben Hansen

As the season comes to an end, park skiing is the dominant passtime for the locals and diehards still strapping on the plank(s) in the warmer final month of the season.

It’s all about having fun on the slopes, hanging out in the sun with friends and enjoying every last days you can get out of winter.

Boen Ferguson, skiing’s little wonder boy, has been in recovery from a torn ACL all winter, This week he got back on skis and straight back in the park, testing out his knee in the mini shred park at the Cruiser area in Thredbo.

Higher up the Cruiser zone Charles Beckensale spent all week pushing snow into the jump for the Toyota One Hit Wonder Down Under which starts on Tuesday (14 September). On Sunday they tested the 90 footer by sending Russ off it.
