Jesse Parkinson first rode a snowboard five years ago when he was nine-years old during a family holiday to Niseko and he loved it straight away. Jesse’s from the Sunshine Coast and grew up surfing and he and his brother Jye picked up snowboarding pretty quickly in the Japanese pow.

Shredding the pow or riding the park, it’s all fun.

The trip to Japan with the family is an annual event and while he loves freeriding, Jesse is also focussed on competition and spends the Australian winter training in Perisher. Jesse is now 14-years-old and one of the raising talents of Australian snowboarding and Mountainwatch recently caught up with Jesse in Perisher where he was preparing for the Australian competition season.
