The latest film project ‘Shelter’ by the folk from Picture Organic highlights the beauty of the Swiss and French Alps and the perils they face.

Following five separate journeys, the film follows Jeremy Jones, Mat Schaer, Leo Taillefer, Levi Luggen and Thomas Delfino as they travel from hut to hut, observing first hand the impact of climate change on the Alps.

“Far from the hustle and bustle of the world’s largest ski resorts… they start by changing their approach to the mountains and how they live their passion.”

“For me, mountain huts provide the means to access a fantastic vertical playground still relatively unexplored by free ride skiers and snowboarders. Sleeping close to your goal is key, especially if you want to take quality photos in some of the most remote places in the Alps with only human-powered access.” – Mat Schaer, pro snowboard and Environmental Scientist

“You savour the descent so much more when you earn it. nothing tastes better than a good meal in a mountain hut while sitting next to the fireplace after a long ascent, just waiting in anticipation for the next day’s turns.” – Levi Luggen
