Friday, August 9: Australia’s only music festival in the snow, Snowtunes, has teamed up with KFC Australia to present The KFC Rail Jam. Taking place from Friday 30 to Saturday 31 August, Snowtunes returns to the snowy mountains of Jindabyne for two days of skis, snowboards and sounds.

Snowtunes will bring the beats from some of Australia’s most loved artists including platinum-record selling singer Vera Blue, triple j’s 2015 Hottest 100 Winners The Rubens, electronic music duo The Presets, Aussie punk rock band The Chats, plus many more local music acts.

 

Snowtunes is something you don’t want to miss.

Set to be the biggest off-mountain Rail Jam the country has ever seen, there will be 270 cubic metres of snow, four rail features and the maddest tricks from 40 of Australia’s best skiers and snowboarders. Fans lucky enough to score an invite will be able to catch the Ski Jam and Snowboard Jam on Friday and Saturday night respectively.

 

Competing at The KFC Rail Jam will be Australia’s biggest names in Rail Riding from Jye Kearney, Cattleman’s Rail Jam winner Andy James, plus local pros Nicholas Bridgeman, Georgia Austin and Angus Waddington. In the running for a prize of $20,000 these names and more will blow fans away with their skills and style as they compete in the snow.
