Richard James has just released Sugar Mountain, a feature-length film that’s set somewhere on a glacier, about a quest to find the mythical peak which holds the answer to one of life’s biggest questions – why adventure? The film follows Watkin Mclennan, Chris Booth, Oscar Mclennan, Tim Myers, Miles Clark, and a drone-guy named Danny Coolahan, on an exploration of Alaska’s peaks of possibility.

The film’s global release kicked off with sold-out screenings in Sydney and Melbourne this week. In the heat of near-summer, it was a great opportunity for the skibums of the city to come together and celebrate winter. Mountainwatch went along and was able to share in the excitement of this unique Australian production.
