In this episode of his excellent Topside series Nikolai Schirmer and his snowboarding mate Krister Kopala, climb and descend three ridiculously steep and narrow couloirs on Aiguille Noire De Pramecou in Tignes, France.

Like Nikolai, Kritser is from northern Norway and, like Nikolai, he also charges – up as well as down the mountain. Must be something in the water up there. The climbs in this episode are near vertical and exposed, the descents an adrenalin-fuelled wild ride with no room for error. As the sub-head says, “don’t hit the rock wall.”
