We woke to another beautiful day of Buller paradise.

Our hopes diminished as the clouds came in and progressively blanketed the mountain. Luckily we were in the trees getting airtime around a recently abandoned chairlift. Burnt Hut was struck by lightning in the Summer, it was subsequently removed and all that was left was the bottom station, half charcoal. Johnny Lipzker pushed to slide to the top and kiss the sky and Doodle spread his sexy style all over the derelict structure.

We tentatively wandered over to Chamois hoping for airtime on the site’s turbo charged features. Buller put it on. The clouds lifted and there were moments of clear skies. Max Timmins attempted the first full full since the World Cup Aerials six years ago. Charlie Timmins showed his class with some huge sevens over the hip whilst the youngsters Olly Cain and Callum Jones proved the future is all about doubles. Nick Breheny did a punch fronty in memory of his fallen comrade Dre Bennett and Joe Corcoran officially now has a crush on Johnny Lipzker, “he makes my job SoO easy”.
