The latest co-production from skiers Flo Bastien and Nikolai Schirmer, Visions is a beautifully crafted film, shot and edited by Finnish filmmaker Joonas Mattila. It was filmed during a month-long road trip through the European Alps last winter, the trip taking in Val D’Isere, Chamonix, the Arlberg and Innsbruck, all of which were at their best thanks to a winter of epic snow.

Featuring Bastien, Schirmer, Julien Lange and Anntu Oikkonen, the film captures their free-flowing creative skiing in a range of terrain from exposed big mountain lines, fun freestyle hits and deep powder in the trees, most of which is reached under their own steam.

The European Alps have long been regarded as the Mecca of skiing; Visions is a very good illustration of why.  Visions is one of the stand-out films of the current season.
