The World Heli Challenge is a gathering of big mountain free-riding folk who love skiing and boarding big lines in the backcountry.

They came together for two weeks in majestic Wanaka in the South Island of New Zealand in August and when they weren’t accessing the mountains by helicopter they found plenty of other ways to get their stoke on and keep the adrenaline pumping. Unfortunately for the athletes this year, the Extreme day failed to run. This was only the second time in the event’s history that this has happened. It didn’t seem to faze them though, they still had fun.
