As of Monday October 15, our Mountainwatch.com homepage will switch to focus on the Northern Hemisphere winter. We will be turning our forecasting models toward the United States, Canada and Japan. We will also bring you tonnes of fresh new content from the Northern Hemisphere to keep you up to speed with what is happening in the world of snow.
Here at Mountainwatch we will continue to aim to be your one-stop-shop for all things snow related. Across the Northern Hemisphere season Mountainwatch will continue to provide you with automated individual forecasts for over 15 ski resorts across the United States, Canada and Japan. The forecasts come in the form of a table, which contains a daily summary, and a chart, which plots weather variables in 3 to 6 hourly steps to tell you what the weather is going to do in finer detail. Our 7-Day forecasts are derived from state of the art global and mesoscale numerical weather prediction computer models from some of the world’s leading meteorological organisations, including the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in the US, the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts and the New Zealand MetService.
